A space for girls ages 10-14 to move, unwind, and grow in confidence.
Growing up brings a lot of changes, and sometimes it’s nice to have a space where there’s nothing to prove and no pressure to be anything other than yourself.
Designed especially for girls ages 10–14, Tween Yoga at Satya Life combines beginner-friendly yoga, mindful movement, balance challenges, and simple breathing practices in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
Through accessible yoga poses and creative activities, girls explore strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness while discovering what their bodies can do. Along the way, they practice simple ways to pause, recognize what they’re feeling, and find a little steadiness when life gets busy or overwhelming.
Each class finishes with a short guided relaxation, giving girls an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and discover that rest can be just as valuable as movement.
No yoga experience needed. Just come as you are!
Ready to give your daughter a little space to move, breathe, and be herself?

Melanie St. Johns, (200-HR YTT, R-TSYF, R-YFMN)
Yoga Instructor – Relaxation Yoga, Yoga Basics, Prenatal Yoga, Barre, and Tween Workshops
Melanie is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher who completed her training at Satya Life Yoga in 2012, with additional training in trauma-sensitive yoga, meditation, and Yoga Nidra.
A mother of three daughters and grandmother of two, she brings more than 14 years of yoga teaching experience and a warm, encouraging approach to helping young girls develop confidence, body awareness, and a healthy relationship with movement.
Her classes emphasize curiosity over perfection, creating a welcoming space where every student is invited to explore at their own pace, discover their strengths, and enjoy being themselves.
“For me, the practice has become less about what we can accomplish with our bodies and more about the relationship we develop with ourselves along the way. My intention is to create a welcoming space where students can arrive exactly as they are.”
