Owner, Instructor

I began practicing yoga 34 years ago when I began my teaching career. Over the years working in a variety of positions from preschool through college in public education, yoga has transformed my life allowing me to develop strength as well as mindfulness to reach my goals both personally and professionally. I have practiced yoga with Frankie Hart for 20 years. One of my dreams was to complete the yoga teacher training program (YTT) and was thrilled when Frankie began offering YTT to become a certified yoga instructor.  I was a part of her first group and completed my 200 hour program with her in 2012.  This past year I was a part of the 300 hour program and completed that in 2025. I have been teaching yoga for 14 years now. I also have a Doctorate degree from Florida Southern College in Educational Leadership; a Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University in Curriculum, Instruction, Management, and Administration; Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University.

Currently I am the new owner of Satya Life!  I am teaching Intermediate Yoga on Saturday mornings and Yoga for Relaxation on Friday evenings.  I have also been teaching Yoga for Every Body at Carillon Lakes and have taught children’s yoga for 14 years. I am looking forward to leading our upcoming workshops, special events, and continuing to expand our Satya Life Community.

Every year we get better together, this is one of my core values along with providing classes for all ages and stages throughout life! Yoga helps us focus on our priorities in life by strengthening our bodies.  Our bodies know how to heal themselves; the challenge is to quiet the mind. Yoga helps us connect with our bodies so we can relax, recharge and restore our bodies as well as our minds to heal from all of life’s challenges!

“By faithful repetition, our inner light luminously shines.” Nischala Joy Devi, The Secret Power of Yoga
